SONO-ID Wireless Probe Recognition

SONOWALL 70 is the first thickness gauge in the market with intelligent probe identification. The extended probe management allows probe-specific information such as DAC-curves, delay lines, and serial numbers to be saved directly in the ultrasonic probe. In addition to various thickness applications, the device can be upgraded to a full-function flaw detector.

Cooling Times and Duty Cycle Plot for TS5H

The cooling time above 350°C is roughly equal to the heating time up to a maximum of 1 minute of cooling. For example: after 2 minutes inspection and heating at 400°C the ultrasonic probe needs to cool for 1 minute before re-using it.

SONOWALL 70 - a top product which I was allowed to try out briefly. Even without operating instructions, I was able to operate the device in a very short time. Simple menu navigation (selectable in German), lightweight, usable for almost all applications in ultrasonic testing and innovations such as the RFID chip in the ultrasonic probe and device as well as WLAN dongle for app control have thrilled me.
